“Gururi Paint” is a web-based drawing tool that lets you draw while rotating the camera all around you. We are looking for people to try the pre-release version before its official launch.
We are currently developing version 2 of Gururi Paint for the web. Since I can only test it on a limited range of devices and input tools by myself, your help testing it in different environments would be greatly appreciated.
What Is Gururi Paint?
Gururi Paint is a web-based painting tool that lets you easily create 360-degree illustrations while spinning the camera around. It runs directly in your browser and allows you to save and reopen your work for further editing, as well as export it as an image.
What I’d Like You to Test
Here are some of the things we’d like you to try:
- Basic tools such as the pen and eraser
- Drawing with an Apple Pencil or pen tablet
- What happens when your hand or fingers touch the screen
- Saving and loading
.gururifiles - Exporting images as PNG files
- Saving photos and videos with the camera feature
- Adding, removing, and rearranging tools
- Anything about the screen or controls that feels confusing
- Any bugs you encounter while using the tool
You don’t need to test everything in detail. Just use it as you normally would, and let us know if you run into any problems or notice anything that feels off. There’s no obligation to submit a report.
Reports like “It worked fine for me!” are also incredibly helpful for confirming which environments are supported, so please feel free to share your experience!
Testing Environments We’re Especially Looking For
I’m unable to fully test environments other than Windows and Chrome on my own. I’m especially looking for reports from people using the following setups:
- iPad with Apple Pencil
- Windows with a pen display
- Windows with a graphics tablet
- Mac with a pen tablet
- Safari
- Android tablets or smartphones
You’re also welcome to join and test in any other environment.
